Blue light blocking glasses effectively reduce the continuous damage of blue light to the eyes. Comparative testing using a portable spectral analyzer showed that the intensity of blue light emitted from mobile phone screens was effectively suppressed after wearing blue light blocking glasses, reducing the harmful blue light's impact on the eyes.
Blue light blocking glasses primarily work by reflecting harmful blue light through a coating on the lens surface or by adding blue light blocking factors to the lens substrate to absorb harmful blue light, thus blocking harmful blue light and protecting the eyes.
Blue light blocking lenses using coating reflection technology reflect harmful blue light, resulting in blue light reflection on the lens surface. Blue light blocking lenses using substrate absorption technology do not reflect blue light. As shown in Figure 4, the glasses reflecting blue light are blue light blocking glasses.
